LIQUID LEAKAGE DETECTOR

PURPOSE:To detect a leak of liquid speedily and to preclude damages by the leaking liquid by covering a pipe to be detected with a casing and providing a liquid leakage detector in the cavity part of the casing. CONSTITUTION:If a flexible pipe 1 whose ends are both connected to piping 3 cracks, the liquid which runs in the piping 3 leaks in the cavity in the casing 5 and stays at the bottom part. When the liquid 9 staying in the casing 5 reaches a specific amount (h), the liquid Q short-circuits electrodes 7a and 7b and the detector 7 detects the liquid leak. Further, when the liquid Q stays and overflows the tip of a discharge pipe 6, the liquid Q is discharged from the casing 5 from the discharge pipe 6 and prevented from entering a machine chamber, etc. Thus, the casing 5 which covers the pipe to be detected is provided to eliminate the scattering of the liquid leaking from the pipe to be detected to the periphery, and the detector 7 detects the liquid leaking in the casing 5 speedily, so various damages due to the liquid leak are precluded.
