Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To increase a storage capacity without needing a high mechanical accuracy by converting logical addresses designation to be successive over plural tracks to physical address designations to be successive on a disk surface. CONSTITUTION:Servo information SI is writen at least one place in the circumference direction for all disk surfaces to record data D, and logical addresses 0-7 designations to be successive over plural tracks T are converted to physical addresses 8-15 designations to be successive on the prescribed disk surfaces corresponding to the designations. The data D are read and written in a sector S in the tracks T in a condition in which a head is successively positioned on the tracks T corresponding to the physical addresses 8-15 designations in referring to the servo information SI. Thus, without needing the high mechanical accuracy, the storage capacity can be increased.
