DOCUMENT PREPARING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To make other kinds of data files stored in a document storing medium recognizable in addition to a specific kind of data files to be called by displaying names of data files other than the specific kind of data files in a displaying form different from that used for the names of the specific kind of data files. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 10 makes access to a RAM 11 and ROM 12 and executes a document preparing and proofreading process, graphic drawing process, image inputting process, document (document name file) calling process, etc., when a program is started in accordance with inputted designation. When the list of read-out file names is displayed on a screen, names of data files other than a specific kind of data files of the files to be displayed are displayed in a form different from that used for displaying the specific kind of data files. Therefore, whether or not a data file other than document data files is stored in a document storing medium can be discriminated and, if yes, the file name can be recognized.
