FERROUS IMPACT ABSORBING MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To manufacture a ferrous impact absorbing material having high impact absorbability and toughness by applying fine ferrous powder on skelton of three dimensional network organic polymer material, drying and applying the organic polymer on void and surface of porous body obtd. with sintering after degreasing. CONSTITUTION:The ferrous powder having =70vol.% void ratio is obtd. The whole of porous body 1 or the void 2 near the surface is packed with the organic polymer to form a first layer 10. Successively, a second layer 20 consisting of the above organic polymer material is applied on the first layer 10 and both the organic polymer layers are formed as integrated state. By this method, the impact absorbability is improved by many voids and surface layer and the ferrous impact absorbing material toughened with the ferrous skelton is obtd.
