Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To smoothly control the engagement of a clutch even at a low temperature by providing a clutch position detecting means and a memory means for storing data of control reference values so as to compensate the data of control reference values in accordance with an output detection value from a temperature detecting means. CONSTITUTION:A position detecting means 16 and a memory means 17 are provided in a control means 15 so that data A of engagement of a clutch 11 is stored in the memory means 17 upon a usual using time at which the temperature of the clutch 11 is high so that an engine on a vehicle and other drive systems are stable. Further, at a low temperature just after a start of the vehicle or the like, a previously obtained learning value is compensated to a clutch characteristic in a low temperature range by the control means 15, and accordingly, the control of engagement of the clutch 11 based upon the learning value may be made, similar to a usual use time. With this arrangement, a clutch stroke range from a control reference value to a clutch transmission position and a stroke range at a low temperature may be held to be equal to each other. Thereby it is possible to smoothly control the clutch, irrespective of usual use and low temperature operation.
