SUPPORT DEVICE FOR DIAGNOSIS WORK OF PLANT EQUIPMENT FAILURE

PURPOSE:To enable an overall diagnosis by providing an inference device by an expert system which deduces a cause of a failure, and a circuit simulating a neurocirculatory network, and by feeding a characteristic appearing at the failure, as an input value. CONSTITUTION:When a system starts up by a user's indication, a data collection part collects required data from a subject equipment for a failure diagnosis on an on-line basis. An inference device 2 by an expert system compares the collected data with data read from a knowledge base 1, and performs an inference along with checking an equality of the two. In case that data are not sufficient or unexpected date are input to the inference device 2, because any inference can not be performed, all the collected data are fed to the inference device by a neurocirculatory network system and thereafter a cause of the failure is presumed and an overall diagnosis is performed, based on those data.
