APPEARANCE INSPECTION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To quickly inspect the surface and the reverse side of an object to be inspected by forming an inspection base for placing the object to be inspected so as to be foldable, and providing an image pickup device which can move relatively along the placing surface of the inspection base on the upper part of the inspection base. CONSTITUTION:An object to be inspected W1 is placed on a placing plate 4 being one side around a folding line (axial cylinders 5, 6 into which rotation axes of motors 9, 10 are inserted) of an inspection base 1. The surface of this object W1 to be inspected is brought to image pickup by an image pickup device 12. Thereafter, when the placing plate 4 is turned by the motor 10, and superposed on a placing plate 3 being the other side of the base 1, the object W1 to be inspected is turned upside down and placed on the placing plate 3. Subsequently, the reverse side of the object W1 to be inspected is brought to image pickup by the image pickup device 12. During this time, an object W2 to be inspected is placed on the placing plate 4. Next, after bringing the object W1 to be inspected to image pickup, the image pickup device 12 is moved and the surface of the object W2 to be inspected is brought to image pickup. In the course of this image pickup, the object W1 to be inspected is taken out. In such a way, the work efficiency of the inspection is improved.
