DAMPING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To control vibration with a stroke diminished and amplitude enlarged by using a rod-state member, both end parts of which are supported with pins and having bending rigidity, as a hunging material, and arranging a hunging material in a structure and a damper and a spring between a hunging frame and the hunging material. CONSTITUTION:A vibration body 1 is vibrated to restrain the vibration of a structure 4. Both end parts of the vibration body 1 are supported rotatably in every direction with pin joints 5 at one-side ends of hunging materials 2 and 2' having bending rigidity. Other end parts of the hunging materials 2 and 2' are rotatably supported on a hunging frame 3 with the pin joints 5. Dampers 6 for absorbing vibration energy of the structure 4 and springs 7 for deciding a frequency of a pendulum are interposed between the vicinity of other end parts of the hunging materials 2 and 2' and the hunging frame 3. Thus vibration of a tower-state structure and a high building etc. can be controlled.
