Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound free from trans-isomer, in high purity and efficiency, by reacting chlorodimethylsilane with butadiene in the presence of a specific catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound can be produced by reacting chlorodimethylsilane with 1,3-butadiene in the absence of solvent or in an inert solvent (e.g. benzene, toluene or methylene chloride) using essentially anhydrous nickel (II) acetylacetonate as a catalyst. The anhydrous catalyst is preferably produced by vacuum drying under heating.
