VARIABLE RESISTOR

PURPOSE:To obtain a proper torque and a smooth rotation without using a grease by providing a case with a holding part and placing a rubber elastic member in a manner a part of that is in pressure contact to the side plane of a head part of an operation shaft. CONSTITUTION:On a part of wall 9, a recess 13 is formed, which a rubber elastic member 12 is attached to so as to be slightly pushed into. At this time, the most smooth plane of said rubber elastic member 12 is brought in contact with the side plane of a head part of a rotary shaft 14. Furthermore, clicks 15 and 16 for stopping the rubber elastic member 12 is arranged in an entrance part of the recess 13. Thus, a torque is produced by utilizing a frictional force between the rubber elastic member and the rotary shaft. A proper torque and a smooth feeling of rotation can be obtained without using a grease because of a flexibility of the rubber elastic member.
