IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent a back electrode from being deformed by tilting of a fixed stand so as to obtain a stable, high quality image by supporting the back electrode at one point on a spherical face portion provided on the fixed stand. CONSTITUTION:A back electrode 39 is supported by means of contact at one point with a spherical face 36A provided over three fixed stands 41 and is supported also against a fixed stand 31 by a curved face 36B in such a manner that it is supported almost at one point thereon. When the back container 40 is deformed by exertion of atmosphere in the D direction the fixed stand 41 is tilted, but, since the back electrode 39 is supported at one point on the spherical face (36A) provided over the fixed stands 41, the contact point of the fixed stand 41 with the electrode 39 only shifts on the spherical face (36B) when the fixed stand 41 is tilted, and so the electrode 39 is prevented from being exerted with a force to deform and is prevented from being deformed.
