Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To prepare the titled composition inhibiting the formation of sticking insoluble glucan even in the presence of sucrose, and exhibiting excellent dental caries preventing effect, by using a polymeric acidic proteinous substance capable of inhibiting glucosyltransferase activity. CONSTITUTION:A polymeric acidic proteinous substance capable of inhibiting glucosyltransferase activity, e.g. M5071 substance, or M5071-mimic substances such as M5084Isubstance, M5084II substance, M4400 substance, M5093 substance, M5094 substance, etc. is compounded e.g. to a toothpaste composition, an oral cavity cleaning composition, a gum-base-containing composition, a food or drink composition, etc. in an amount of pref. >=0.0001W/W% to obtain the obective composition for preventing dental caries. The composition suppresses the adhesion of the cariogenic bacteria to the surface of tooth by the action of said polymeric acidic proteinous substance, and exhibits excellent effect for preventing dental caries.
