Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To produce a cast slab having excellent surface characteristic by using powder having the specific viscosity and solidification temp. in the case of executing electromagnetic stirring at the time of continuously casting. CONSTITUTION:In the case of continuously casting a steel while executing the electromagnetic stirring, the powder having 1.0-6.0 poise of the viscosity at 1300 deg.C and 1000-1200 deg.C the solidified temp., is used. By this method, surface flaw in the cast slab at the time of continuously casting can be drastically reduced and the high velocity casting can be executed and the productivity can be improved.
