STRUCTURE OF INTAKE PORT

PURPOSE:To prevent the inflow of a suspended material by installing a box body with a hollow section on a water bottom, locating the tip of an intake pipe in the box body, and locating outflow ports opened to the inside of the box body above inflow ports opened to the outside. CONSTITUTION:Many water feed paths 17 feeding water into a box body 2 are vertically and slantly extended along the outer face of a side wall face 5, inflow ports 18 are opened at positions higher than a water bottom face 3, and outflow ports 19 are opened to a space 15 above a filter layer 13. Water is lifted in water feed paths 17 and flows into the second chamber 10. The intake quantity is set so that the passing speed of water in the water feed paths 17 does not exceed the settling velocity of sand to be prevented from flowing in. The fine suspended material passing a filtering layer 11 is settled in spaces 9 and 10, and only the supernatant water can be taken.
