METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING ONE-OFF EFFECT DYEING

PURPOSE: To form a variety type of 'one off effect' dyeing patterns by spraying or dropping treatment agents to the materials, for example, continuously running paper or fabric and by the tumbling motions of a treatment medium placed on the material. CONSTITUTION: A sheet material wound up around the roller 2, paper or cloth is conveyed via the delivering and guiding rollers 4, 5, 6, 7 at a rate of 1-40 m/min or preferably 5-15 m/min to pass the treatment zone B and wound up around the roller 8. In the treatment zone B, while the material is allowed to move under tension along two guides 9a and 9b constituting the conduit 9, the treatment agent that includes dyes or hypochlorite salt to be sprayed or dropped from the head 13 and the treatment medium 12a that is placed on the material and relatively tumbles, as the material moves, for example, pumice stones with average particle size of 1-5 cm to give the pattern of the one off effect dyeing.
