CONTAMINATION PREVENTING CIRCUIT FOR FIXING LAMP

PURPOSE:To decrease the contamination of fixing glass and to eliminate the need of frequent maintenance cleaning of a flash lamp by intensifying an electric field in the direction for obstructing the flying of an electrified developer. CONSTITUTION:By a DC power source 5, positive charge is given to an electrode 62 of a flash lamp side, and a negative voltage is applied to an electrode 61 of a printing paper 7 side. The carried printing paper 7 is electrified to positive in advance, and charge of the printing paper 7 side of fixing glass 4 intensifies an electric field in the direction of going to the fixing glass 4 from the printing paper 7, which is generated between the printing paper 7 and the surface of the printing paper 7 side of the fixing glass 4. Since a developer 8 is electrified to negative, force is given in the direction opposite to the electric field, it comes to scarcely fly in the direction of the fixing glass 4. In such a way, the contamination of glass is decreased, and frequent maintenance cleaning of the flash lamp becomes unnecessary.
