Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To respond to a sensitive material having a high sensitivity difference without changing an optical system and a scanning system by varying scan line density on an image corresponding to the sensitivity of the sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:Sensitive material information is sent to a system controller 13, and the system controller 13 instructs subscan speed to a subscan speed control part 21, and issues an instruction to frequency-divide an exposure start signal SOS to 1/n to a frequency division part 14, and the same modulation signal based on the same image information is outputted for one line repeatedly by the frequency division part 14 and a perpendicular readout counter 16, and an image line of one line is formed with plural scan lines when the sensitive material with low sensitivity is used, and the image line of one line is formed with the scan lines less than that in the case of using the sensitive material with low sensitivity when the sensitive material with high sensitivity is used. In such a way, it is possible to store exposure energy per sensitive material unit area by easily changing corresponding to the sensitivity difference of the sensitive material.
