CONTROL ROD FOR REACTOR

PURPOSE:To curb or reduce corrosion and thereby to enable attainment of a control rod for a reactor of higher reliability by forming a water passage between a neutron absorber tube in a sheath wing end and a sheath by dimplings in the wing end. CONSTITUTION:By providing a plurality of dimplings 6a, 6b in the longitudinal direction of the wing end of a U-shaped sheath 5, it turns possible that neutron absorber tubes 4 positioned in the wing end are separated from the inside of the U-shaped part of the sheath 5 and that a certain gap 8 is maintained therebetween. According to this constitution, it becomes easy for cooling water to flow through this gap 8 and thereby a corrosion reaction due to staying can be curbed.
