Zusammenfassung:NEW MATERIAL:A peptide expressed by the formula (X is Arg or Gly; Y is Ser when X is Arg and Y is Gly when X is Gly) exhibiting Na, K-ATPase- inhibiting activity. USE:Curing agent of hypertension and various diseases of cordia or kidney, etc. PREPARATION:For instance, fresh duodenum of swine is treated in boiling water and homogenized in 0.1 M acetic acid, then centrifuged, thus supernatant is collected and adsorbed in CM-cellulose, then adsorbed substance is eluted with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid, thus subjected to salting-out to obtain precipitation. Next, the precipitation is extracted with isopropyl alcohol, etc., and extract is flowed into CM-cellulose. Then, again adsorbed substance is eluted with 0.1 N hydrochloric acid and elute is freeze-dried, then dissolved in 0.1 M acetic acid, thus purified by gel filtration or reversed phase liquid chromatography, etc., to afford the aimed peptide expressed by the formula.
