HAIR DYEING AGENT

PURPOSE:To obtain a hair dyeing agent dyeing hair in high color retaining power without damaging hair shaft and hair root, containing a hydroxyalkyl cellulose, benzyl alcohol, 1,3-butanediol, etc., having a specific pH. CONSTITUTION:A hair dyeing agent having pH3.0 to 3.5 containing (A) 1.0 to 7.0wt.% hydroxyalkyl cellulose, (B) 7.0 to 15.0wt.% benzyl alcohol, (C) 10.0 to 25.0wt.% aliphatic lower alcohol, (D) 9.0 to 16.0wt.% N-alkylpyrrolidone (E) 1.0 to 2.0wt.% 1,3-butanediol, (F) 1.0 to 8.0wt.% propylene glycol, (G) 0.001 to 5.0wt.% dye, (H) citric acid (sodium salt), phosphoric acid or tartaric acid in an amount to adjust pH, (I) 0.001 to 1.0wt.% sodium polyacrylate, (J) 2.0 to 7.0wt.% chitin liquid, (K) 0.5 to 7.0wt.% N-coconut oil fatty acid-acyl-L- glutamic acid triethylamine, (L) 0.001 to 10.0wt.% CMC, (M) 0.001 to 10.0wt.% xanthan gum and (N) the rest of water.
