AIR CONDITIONER

PURPOSE:To facilitate the inspection of the connecting condition between the indoor unit and outdoor unit by activating a signalling means by a transmission means disposed in the outdoor unit when the signal is transmitted from a test switch means in the indoor unit. CONSTITUTION:When the operation signal is outputted by manually operating a test switch means 25 in the indoor unit 21, the signal is transmitted from the indoor unit 21 to the outdoor unit 22 through a transmission means 41. Upon receiving the signal, a signalling means 34 is activated to tell the connecting condition between the indoor unit 21 and outdoor unit 22. Where the signalling means is a light emitting means, a visual telltale becomes possible, and where it is a switching means, an audible telltale by way of a metallic sound emitted at the time of switching the refrigerant circuit switching valve, and where it is a fan switching means, a visual as well as audible telltale by way of a regular change in the turning condition of the outdoor fan. Thus, the maintenance and inspection work is facilitated.
