Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain the joined body having high bonding strength and satisfactory oxidation preventing property and not causing exfoliation even after use at a high temp. over a long period of time by forming a heat insulating layer obtd. by sintering a heat insulating material based on inorg. hollow granules on a reactive binding layer consisting of a silicate and an oxide coating film formed on the surface of a metal member. CONSTITUTION:A metal member is heated to >=500 deg.C in a steam atmosphere to form an oxide coating film on the surface. This oxide coating film is coated with a sol of a silicate such as sodium silicate as a binder and the resulting binder layer is coated with a mixture of a heat insulating material based on inorg. hollow granules with a silicate binder and a hardening agent. They are held under heating at about 750-850 deg.C in a neutral atmosphere for about 0.5-1.5hr to obtain a ceramic-metal joined body having the above-mentioned characteristics.
