Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To obtain the title substances by subjecting cycloalkanes to liquid- phase oxidation with molecular oxygen in the presence of a catalyst such as a boron compound into a reaction mixture containing cycloalkane peroxide and heat-treating the mixture in combination with an aromatic nitro compound. CONSTITUTION:The liquid-phase oxidation of cycloalkanes, preferably cyclohexane, is conducted using a molecular oxygen-containing gas in the presence of a catalyst such as a boron compound, preferably boric acid, to give a mixture containing cycloalkane hydroperoxide. Then, an aromatic nitro compound such as m-dinitrobenzene 10 to 10,000ppm based on the starting substance is added and the mixture is heat-treated at 120 to 200 deg.C to give the title substance. The addition of the aromatic nitro compound enable the selection to be improved by 3 to 4% in comparison with no addition.
