WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To perform high-efficient drying without worsening the volume efficiency of a washing machine and to reduce the size of the washing machine by a method wherein, in addition to an effect produced through inclination of a rotary drum at a given angle, a rib is formed on the side of the inner wall of the rotary drum. CONSTITUTION:When a rotary drum 5 is rotated in a vertical state and dehydration is completed, laundry is moved to a drying process, and through running of a motor 15, a pinion gear 16 is rotated. a rack 17 is slid approximately vertically upwardly. When it is detected by an angle detector that a water drum base bed 14 is inclined approximately at an angle of 30 deg. by means of a rack 17, running of the motor 15 is stopped. When a running stop signal for the motor 15 is fed to a CPU, at the same time when the rotary drum 5 is rotated with the aid of the motor 7, hot air of a heater flows in the rotary drum with the aid of a fan to dry laundry. In this case, by repetition of rotation of the rotary drum 5 at an angular velocity omega1 and an angular velocity omega2 being approximately 2-3 times as fast as the angular velocity omega1 at intervals of a given time, laundry is excellently rolled in the rotary drum 5, and drying efficiency is improved.
