Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To control the air flow rate in a bypass conduit by providing a cylindrical casing in a throttle casing, airtightly fitting the casing part into a receiving hole of a reservoir, and forming a flow passage for guiding the medium flow in the reservoir. CONSTITUTION: A throttle unit 6 is provided with a throttle casing 16, the throttle casing is provided with a cylindrical casing part 17, a turning chamber 19 is formed in the casing 16, the turning casing perforates the casing part 17 in the perpendicular lateral direction and is finished at an inlet opening 20 and outlet opening 21 on the peripheral wall of the casing par 17. A shaft 24 passes through the casing 16 and can be turned by an adjusting motor 5, and a throttle element 36 is immovably connected to the shaft 24 in a chamber 19 by a screw 37. The element 36 shuts off the flow of a medium at the position for closing the chamber 19. The adjusting motor 5 is controlled by an electronic controller 10. A flow passage 40 is formed in an intake pipe 1 or an engine block wall to form one section of a bypass conduit 3, and the casing part 17 is fitted to a receiving hole 41.
