LUMINAIRE

PURPOSE:To simplify and strengthen connection of a cap main body with a leg portion by using a cap to cover the front face of a lamp and forming the cap by means of both a hat- shaped cap main body and a leg portion which has a bending portion provided at its middle portion, and which has its plate face fixed to the inner side face of the cap main body, and which also is engaged with the engaging portions of the fixture body in the vicinity of both end portions thereof. CONSTITUTION:A cap 26 is formed which includes a hat-shaped cap main body 27 and a leg portion 30, and the cap main body 27 is used to cover the front face of the light emitting tube portion 19 of a lamp 16. The cap main body 27 has a pair of notched portions 31, 31 opposite to each other at the edge of the opening of the main body 27, and also the leg portion 30 is formed into a long and narrow shape from a metal material equipped with a spring property, and has a semi-circular bending portion 28 provided at its middle portion and extending along the inner side face of the cap main body 27 and also has engaging portions 29, 29 provided at both end portions thereof and bent in different manners. The bending portion 28 of the leg portion 30 is engaged with the inner side face of the cap main body 27 and both end portions of the bending portion 28 are engaged with the notched portions 31, 31, and then the cap main body 27 and the leg portion 30 are fixed together by means of spot welding or the like. Connection of the cap main body 27 and the leg portion 30 is thus simplified and strengthened.
