COVER FOR DRAIN PIPE

PURPOSE:To device a safe discharge of air reacting to temporary increase of air pressure inside a pipe by providing a synthetic-resin-made hood covering an opening for inspection and cleaning of a drain pipe and a synthetic-resin- made fitting part that fits into the opening, and by providing exhaust valves to the hood. CONSTITUTION:A cover is constructed of a hood 2 equipped with a plurality of exhaust valves 4 for closing an opening A and a fitting part 3 that fits to the opening A, and the surface of the hood 2 is made flat so that the surface becomes even with the ground surface when the cover is fitted to the opening A. The fitting part 3 is made in the diameter same as the inside diameter of an access pipe C for inspection and cleaning, an to its outer peripheral surface, an recessed groove 31 is provided and a ring-like packing 6 is fitted therein so that tight fitting to the inner peripheral surface of the access pipe C for inspection and cleaning can be made. The exhaust valves 4 composed of valve body-housing parts 41 with exhaust ports 44 provided to their bottoms, housing covers 42 and spherical valve bodies 43 are then fixed to exhaust valve-installing holes 24 of the hood 2. Thereby synthetic-resin-made, lightweight and anticorrosive cover can be melt at less manufacturing cost.
