SLIDE FASTENER

PURPOSE:To prevent a slider from being removed beyond an upper stopper and to remove the upper stopper without deforming it when it is necessary by making the maximum width of the first upper stopper of a separatable slide fastener larger than the width of the branched groove of a guide route and making respective maximum widths of first and second half body parts equal to or slightly smaller than the width of the branched groove. CONSTITUTION:A slider 2 is equipped with a slider main body to provide a wedge neck 21, a second pin member 7, upper stoppers 3 and 4, and a pair of side flanges 23 to be extendingly opened which form a Y-shaped guide route 24 to compose the route of an engaging element train 5 along with the neck 21, and the first upper stopper 3 has an inward recessed surface 32 and is composed of first and second half body parts 3a and 3b to be integrally formed successively in a lengthwise direction. A shaft A3 of the whole of the first upper stopper 3 is extended along the center line of a lengthwise inner periphery 11, a shaft A1 of the first half body part 3a is extended in parallel to an upper half part 32a of the inward recessed surface 32, and a shaft A2 of the second half body part 3b extendingly exists in parallel to a lower half body part 32b. Maximum width W1 and W2 of the first and second half body parts 3a and 3b are made equal to or slightly smaller than a width W4 of the guide route 24. A width W3 of the whole of the first upper stopper 3 is made larger than the width W4.
