TRANSFER APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To nearly eliminate a gap between copying paper and a developer image by providing an electrostatically charging means attracting the developer image from the surface of a photoconductor to the copying paper and a pressing member pressing and bringing the copying paper into contact with the developer image on the surface of the photoconductor in the area of the electrostatically charging means. CONSTITUTION: A blade 45 presses and brings the copying paper into contact with the toner powder image developed on a photoconductor belt 10 when it is at an actuated position. Therefore, the gap between the copying paper and the toner powder image is nearly eliminated. By continuing to press the paper in a transfer part so that the paper may be brought into contact with the toner powder image, the wrinkles of the copying paper are nearly eliminated in the transfer part. Then, a corona generating device 46 electrostatically charges the copying paper to potential having proper level and polarity, whereby the copying paper is attached to the belt 10 and the toner powder image is attracted from the belt 10 to the copying paper.
