MANUFACTURE OF MAGNETIC HEAD

PURPOSE:To enable highly accurate assembly with good operability by assembling a plate material which has positioning holes differing in diameter by an assembling jig which has a tapered pin supported in the hole between a spring force and a fine gap. CONSTITUTION:The tip-tapered pin 6 of the assembling jig is supported in the hole between the spring and fine gap. The pin 6 is inserted into the positioning hole of the supporting body 1 of a floating head and further inserted into the positioning hole of a gimbals 2 which is smaller than the diameter of the hole and then the supporting body 1 and gimbals 2 are positioned with high accuracy and easily assembled. Then the other pin 6 is inserted into the holes of the supporting body 1 and gimbals 2 which are positioned and then positioning and assembly with a slider 4 are easily carried with high accuracy to assemble the floating head with good operability and high accuracy.
