HAIR DYE

PURPOSE:To provide a hair dye reduced in the deterioration of hair and having a high dyeing degree by comprising the first agent containing a sulfide compound producing an sulfide ion when dissolved in water, an alkali, preferably a compound having a phenolic OH group and preferably a mercapto compound and the second agent containing an iron component. CONSTITUTION:A hair dye comprises the first agent containing (A) one kind of more of sulfide ions, polysulfide ions and hydrosulfide ions (0.3-5.0wt.% when used), (B) one kind or more of alkali (ne earth) metals, ammonia, amino compounds and imino compounds (C) a phenolic OH group-compound as a dyeing auxiliary agent (0.1-4% when used), (D) a mercapto compound (e.g. cystine) as a hair-swelling agent and the second agent containing an iron component (e.g. ferric sulfate or ferric alum). The first agent is used at a pH of 7.0-13.0 and the second agent is used at a pH of 3.0-7.5. The dye is prepared from low poisonous raw material and has excellent dyed color degree and fading property.
