Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To obtain a readily machinable fluoromica ceramic by stirring and thickening a slurry substance having the fluoromica composition, calcining a compact of the resultant homogeneous pasty substance and depositing mica crystals. CONSTITUTION:One or more are selected from silica sol, alumina sol, potassium silicate and lithium silicate prepared by forming SiO2, Al2O3, K2O and Li2O into sols. The resultant sols are then mixed with other oxides and fluorides required to synthesizer a mica to provide a slurry substance, which is then thickened while being stirred to afford a pasty form. A long material of the pasty substance is subsequently calcined to deposit mica crystals.
