ARYL- AND HETEROARYLETHANOL-PYRIDYLALKYLAMINE, PREPARATION THEREOF, USE THEREOF AS PROMOTING AGENT FOR PRODUCTION OF AND TREATING AGENT FOR CORPULENCY OF CATTLE

Novel aryl- and heteroarylethanolpyridylalkylamines of the formula I in which A stands for =CH- or =N-, R stands for hydrogen or methyl, R stands for hydrogen, hydroxyl, halogen, cyano, alkyl, haloalkyl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxycarbonyl, aminocarbonyl, mono- and dialkylaminocarbonyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, haloalkylthio or NHSO2-alkyl, R stands for hydrogen, hydroxyl, alkoxy or the radical -NR R , R stands for the radicals given under R , R stands for hydrogen, C1-C10-alkyl which is optionally substituted by hydroxyl, halogen, alkoxy, acyloxy or the radical -NR R , and also for the radical COR or the radical -O-Z-R , Z stands for C1-C10-alkylene, -alkenylene or alkynylene, R represents hydrogen or alkyl, R represents hydrogen, alkyl, haloalkyl or acyl, where R and R , together with the adjacent N atom, can form a saturated or unsaturated heterocyclic 4-, 5- or 6-membered ring, R stands for hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl or optionally substituted aryl, R stands for the radicals indicated under R , R stands for hydroxyl, alkoxy or the radical -NR R , R stands for hydroxyl, alkoxy, acyloxy, optionally substituted aryloxy or aralkyloxy, where in the pyridyl ring of the formula I the substituent R and the alkylamino group are in the p-position to one another, and their physiologically tolerable salts and, if A stands for nitrogen, their N-oxides. The present invention furthermore relates to processes for the preparation of the compounds, intermediates used in this process, and their use as performance promoters in animals and as anti-obesity agents.
