Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE:To improve transient stability of a generator control by enhancing an adaptive gain for calculating a voltage control deviation of the generator as compared with that at a normal time when an operating amount for controlling a generator exciter is calculated by a multi-variable controller at the time of system short-circuit accident. CONSTITUTION:An incomplete differentiator 30 for detecting a momentary drop of a generator output voltage (terminal voltage) Vt, an insensitive zone setter 32, a detector 34 are provided, a predetermined detected value Vs upon momentary drop of the voltage Vt is obtained, and the value Vs is added to the output side of an adaptive gain K11. Accordingly, when momentary drop of the voltage Vt exceeds a predetermined value, i.e., an insensitive zone alpha, a magnetism increase signal can be applied to a generator exciter for a necessary period. Thus, the transient stability of the generator exciter at the momentary time of a system short-circuit accident is improved.
