COMPILING UNIT CONTROL SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To automatically search a load module linked to an object program by using a compiling unit including the information on the object program and the load module. CONSTITUTION:A compiler 12 inputs a source program to produce an object program and then produces a compiling unit including a load module information store area to store it into a compiling unit file 13. A linker 14 edits the compiling units in liaison with each other in the file 13 to produce a load module and stores this module in a load module file 15. At the same time, the linker 14 sets the information on the load module to a load module information store area. When the load module information is outputted from the compiling unit, this unit is taken out by an input means 17 of a compiling unit control mechanism 16. Then a processing means 18 takes the information on the object stored in the compiling unit out of the load module information store area and outputs it via an output means 19.
