WEATHER STRIP FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To keep an outer surface of a leg part tip in a smoothing surface with no irregularity as well as to improve appearance quality by forming a recess bitten in so as to cover a core tip, in the inner part of a connection between the leg part tip of a welt part and a seal part. CONSTITUTION:A core 4 being made up of connecting a small piece is embedded in the inner part of a welt part 3 of a weather strip 1, and each flange holding lip 5 is projectingly installed in each inner side of leg parts 3a, 3b. An engaged part 8 engaging a corner part 2b of a flange 2a bent from a lid 2 is projectingly installed in a tip of the leg part 3a toward the almost U-shaped central side, and at the side of a hollow part 9, there is provided a recess 10 bitten in so as to cover a tip 4a of the core 4. Accordingly, an outer surface 3c at a tip of the leg part 3a being exposed to the outside and the tip 4a of the core 4 both come to a shape of being separated by the recess 10, and since the effect of irregularity in the tip 4a of the core 4 is absorbed by the recess 10, the outer surface 3c at tip of the leg part 3a comes to a smoothing surface with no irregularity in the longitudinal direction.
