Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To make it possible to form a polyarylene sulfide resin composition which can develop a sufficiently high degree of crystallinity at a mold temperature lower than the conventional and can shorten a molding cycle by mixing a polyarylene sulfide resin with a specified silicon compound as a nucleator. CONSTITUTION:A resin composition comprising 100 pts.wt. polyarylene sulfide resin mainly consisting of repeating units of formula I (wherein Ar is an arylene), 0.01-10 pts.wt. mercapto silicon compound of formula II (wherein R is a 1-20C bivalent aliphatic group; and R1, R2 and R3 which may be the same or different from each other are each a 3C or higher alkyl, or a (substituted) aryl) and 0-400 pts.wt. fibrous filler and/or nonfibrous inorganic filler. It is desirable that the above composition should contain 0.002-10 pts.wt. nucleator in addition to the above three components.
