AIR BLAST DEVICE FOR AUTOMOBILE

PURPOSE:To improve convenience for use by disposing an air blast device consisting of a plurality of openings, variable partitioning devices for selectively opening and closing these openings and the like on the rear of an arm rest supported collapsibly on the upper surface of a center console box. CONSTITUTION:When an arm rest 15 is used under the collapsed condition, a variable partitioning device 22 is changed over to a first control position 19. Air 6 is blasted from a duct 2 toward passengers on the rear seat side through an air intake port 16 and second opening 18. Also, with the arm rest 15 under its collapsed condition, air 6 is blasted from the duct 2 above the passengers on the rear seat through the air intake port 16 and first and second openings 17, 18 respectively by changing over the variable partitioning device 22 to the upper second control position. Further in the erected position with the arm rest 15 stored the variable partitioning device 22 is switched to the third control position at the uppermost end to blast air 6 from the duct 2 to the passengers on the rear seat through the second and first openings 18, 17.
