Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE: To exhibit excellent stability to the deterioration of magnetic characteristics by forming a magnetic recording carrier of a nonmagnetic carrying material, polymer binder and magnetic material consisting of chromium dioxide as chief materials and forming a specific magnetizable layer on the carrying material. CONSTITUTION: This magnetic recording carrier is formed of the nonmagnetic carrying material, the polymer binder and the magnetic material consisting of the chromium dioxide as the chief materials and the magnetizable layer adhered on the carrying material. One kind of the org. compds. selected from a group consisting of steric hindrance phenol, cresol, arom. amine, benztriazole, triazine deriv., phosphorus-contg. acid ester, phenolic phosphate, its metal salt, benzophenone, substd. phenyl ester benzoate and thioacid alkyl ester are additionally incorporated into the magnetizable layer at 0.1 to 8wt.% of the weight of the chromium dioxide. As a result, the magnetic recording carrier exhibits the improved stability to the chemical decomposition by moisture and oxidative compds. without entailing the deterioration of the magnetic characteristics.
