ELECTROSTATIC PAINTING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To uniformize the supply of paint by forming air supply holes spaced from each other to the bottom of a rotary cup so as to exist in groups in the circumferential direction thereof. CONSTITUTION:A recessed step part 10 having a receiving surface 9 parallel with the central direction of the rotating axis of the rotary cup 1 is formed to the bottom 3 of the rotary cup 1. The paint supplied from the air supply holes 6 in the bottom 3 of the rotary cup 1 passes the recessed step part 10 and advances toward a knife edge part 23 via the inner peripheral side wall 8 of the rotary cup 1. The progression speed of the paint in the recessed step part 10 is high on the surface layer so that the paint on the surface layer is spread transversely by receiving the component of force even in the direction orthogonal with the central direction of the revolving axis of the rotary cup 1. The air supply holes 6 are formed to the bottom 3 of the rotary cup 1 so as to exist in groups in the circumferential direction thereof to uniformize the supply of the paint to the knife edge part 12 at the edge to the rotary cup 1 in the circumferential direction. The thickness of the paint is uniformized in this way.
