KNOWLEDGE INPUT DEVICE FOR EXPERT SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To check the incompatibility of knowledge by graph-displaying the correlation between the knowledge input of a time and the knowledge input of the other time. CONSTITUTION:An input processing part 10 has a knowledge describing function and its debugging function, stores input data through a keyboard 11, a mouse 12, etc., to a knowledge base 1 conforming to a prescribed expression format, and displays the input data on a display device 13. On a knowledge display part 13A, description contents in production rule expression or frame expression are displayed, and a knowledge item selecting part 13B selectively indicates to which part of the expression format the display contents are directed. The section of knowledge (a) indicating the section and the origin and direction of state starting knowledge (b) are displayed by a graph display part 13C, by displaying the correlation of the plural pieces of the knowledge of the time in a display part 13A on the display part 13C, the relation of each knowledge is made clear in a knowledge input operation, the incompatibility and error of the input data can be easily known from the graph displaying, and the incompatibility of the knowledge can be easily checked.
