SPRINKLER HEAD FOR FIRE EXTINGUISHMENT

PURPOSE:To protect a sprinkler head so as not to be in contact with an animal by impressing a voltage from a power source on the protection cover of the sprinkler head. CONSTITUTION:A cap-shaped protection cover 13 is in contact with a main body 2 through an insulator 12 in a surrounding edge to be wax fitted to a pair of semicircular metal pieces 11 by soluble alloy. A pillar-shaped metallic part 18 pressed by the protection cover 13 is passed through a cylinder part 19 to the upper surface of the main body 2 and on the upper surface, an electric cord connection part 20 is provided to connect an electric cord from a power supply part. An electric cord for signal to send a signal to the power supply part is connected to an electric cord connection metal fitting 24. Accordingly, when the sprinkler head is operated, the metallic part 18 falls down simultaneously with the fall of the protection cover 13 and the electric cord connection part 20 is in contact with the electric cord connection metal fitting 24. Then, an electric cord to impress the voltage is conducted to the electric cord for signal. By the conduction, the interruption of the voltage impression, the alarming of the fire or the activation of the pump, etc., is executed. By impressing the voltage to the protection cover, the head is electrically protected from the animal.
