MOVING COMPENSATION PROCESSING SYSTEM AND INTER-FRAME CODING PROCESSING SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To extract a moving vector in matching with the movement of a picture by generating a signal interpolated to a frame to be thinned and using an interpolation error for an interpolated signal and the thinned frame for the selection of the moving vector. CONSTITUTION:The above system consists of a current frame signal input terminal 1, a decoding picture signal input terminal 2, a thinned frame signal input terminal 3, a moving prediction signal output terminal 4, frame memories 5, 6, a movement prediction error detection section 7, a frame interpolation processing section 8, an interpolation error detection section 9 and a moving interpolation evaluation section 10. In the case of detecting the movement, the interpolated signal generated at the reception side is predicted and the interpolated error with respect to the thinned frame is used for detecting the movement. Thus, the moving vector in matching with the movement of a picture with high interpolation picture quality is extracted with less processing quantity.
