HEADPHONE

PURPOSE: To save a load for detaching a headphone from an ear when it is necessary to listen to an outside voice by providing an opening and closing mechanism for opening and closing a space between a speaker in a case and the ear of a user. CONSTITUTION: A case 1 incorporating a speaker 12 is attached to the end of a head band 2 hanged on the head of a user at a position at which the acoustic discharge port of the case 1 can be directed to the ear side of the user so that a space between the speaker 12 in the case 1 and the ear of the user can be closed. The case 1 is provided with an opening and closing mechanism 18 for opening and closing the space between the speaker 12 in the case 1 and the ear of the user. Thus, when it is necessary to listen to an outside voice, the opening operation of the opening and closing mechanism 18 is executed for opening the space between the speaker 12 in the case 1 and the ear of the user. When it is not necessary to listen to the outside voice, the closing operation of the opening and closing mechanism 18 is executed for dosing the space between the speaker 12 in the case 1 and the ear of the user.
