Zusammenfassung:PURPOSE: To enable highly reliable measurement by setting a light source for generating a scattering light and a photometer for transducing a light to proportional electric signal in a housing separated to two spaces by two grooved disks. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus has a shaft 1 driven by a rotary moment. A housing 2 is mounted on the shaft 1 via a bearing 3. Two grooved disks 4, 5 are arranged in the internal space of the housing 2. Hole parts 6, 7 are formed respectively in the disks 4, 5. Two spaces A, B are defined by the disks 4, 5. The disks 4, 5 are fixed to the shaft 1 via collars 8, 9. A light source 14 and a photoelectric cell 16 are disposed inside the housing 2. When a rotary moment acts to the shaft 1, the shaft 1 is twisted to change positions of the hole parts 6, 7. Increase/decrease of light from the light source 1 and passing from the space A to the space B because of the change of the rotary moment is measured by the photoelectric cell 16. A direction in which the working moment acts can hence be confirmed.
