Zusammenfassung: | PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of infrared rays that go out of the device by providing a hole or slit through a gutter-shaped code mirror which has a high transmittance for infrared rays and a high reflectance for ultraviolet rays, and arranging the mirror in such a manner as surrounding a bar-shaped electrodeless light emitting tube. CONSTITUTION:A cold mirror 77 comprises a pair of symmetrical mirrors 77a and 77b joined together. The mirror 77 has a great transmittance for visible light of more than 450nm and infrared rays and a great reflectance for ultraviolet rays. The amount of visible light and infrared rays allowed to go out, both of which raise the temperature of a subject for illumination, is therefore decreased. Air for cooling an electrodeless light emitting tube 1 is forced to flow into the device by a ventilating blower 10 and then led from the hole 771 of the mirror 77 to the light emitting tube 1 via the hole 331 of a microwave hollow drum wall 33 so that the light emitting tube 1 is cooled. The amount of infrared rays that go out of the device is thus reduced to enable cooling of the light emitting tube 1. |
