COIN HOLDER

PURPOSE:To obtain a coin holder of a compact size and wide application by disposing recessed holes of diameters approximately the same with those of coins in a base plate of a thickness approximately the same with that of the coins, covering the back of the recessed hole with a backing material, and disposing a detent stop portion on the opening side of the recessed hole. CONSTITUTION:A plastic base plate 10 for example is formed in a rectangular shape and folded in two at its longitudinal center. The base plate 10 is provided with recessed holes 12 according to the diameters of coins to be held at required positions as appropriate. The base plate 10 is of a two layer sheet constitution comprising a core material 10a formed with approximately the same thickness with that of the coin with the upper layer formed with a soft material provided with a detent portion 10b. The core material 10a and the detent portion 10b are provided with a recessed hole 12. The opening diameter in the detent portion 10b is made to be slightly smaller than the outer diameter of the coin. A backing material 14 is located on the underside of the base plate 10 to cover the bottom of the recessed hole 12. This product can be easily incorporated in notebooks, wallets, etc., having a thick face portion.
