Zusammenfassung:	PURPOSE:To readily and rapidly measure the activity of an enzyme in a high accuracy for the easy selection of the enzyme by feeding the target enzymes into a column filled with a filler having a substrate immobilized thereon and subsequently quantifying the resultant decomposition product of the substrate. CONSTITUTION:A substrate recognized by a target enzyme is first immobilized on a water-insoluble support to prepare a filler used for the measurement of the activity of the enzyme. The prepared filler is filled in a hollow tube to prepare a column, into which enzymes used for the same applications and containing the target enzyme is fed. The decomposed product of the substrate is quantized to compare the activity of measurement target enzyme with others. For example, when the activity of a protease is measured, arginine para-nitride, etc., is employed as a substrate and the liberated para-nitroaniline is quantified.
