INK FOUNTAIN FOR PRINTING PRESS

PURPOSE: To prevent the outflow of ink from the end surface of the side wall of an ink fountain by fixing a rear side wall member and the support member of a support roller to the main body of the ink fountain so that the end surface of a front side wall member and the support roller come into contact with the surface of an ink fountain roller through an ink fountain revolving transmission device. CONSTITUTION: An ink fountain side wall 4 is divided into two side wall members 5, 6 arranged before and behind an ink fountain roller 8 in a radial direction and both side wall members 5, 6 are mutually connected by an elastic member 7. In this case, the side wall 4 is fixedly so attached as to be pushed forward with respect to a support member 23. That is, the end surface 19 of the front side wall member 5 and a support roller 22 are so attached to the surface of an ink fountain roller 8 as to elastically deform the elastic member 7 through ink fountain revolving transmission devices 13, 14 to which preload can be applied to elastically come into contact with the surface of the ink fountain roller 8. By this constitution, the contact of the front side wall member 5 with the end surface 19 is extremely accurately kept in order to prevent the outflow of ink.
