APPARATUS FOR WINDING ADHESIVE TAPE AROUND PIPE END

PURPOSE:To automatically wind an adhesive tape around a pipe end by mounting an adhesive tape leading end holding and pressing device for pressing and adhering an adhesive tape to a pipe end and an adhesive tape cutting and pressing device for cutting the end part of the adhesive tape wound around the pipe end to press and adhere the same to the pipe end. CONSTITUTION:A wound adhesive tape T is supported by a rotationally driven annular flier 20 in a rotatable manner and the leading end part of the unwound adhesive tape T is held to the holding and pressing part 31 of an adhesive tape holding and pressing device 30 in an adsorbed state. The holding and pressing part 31 is raised by a cylinder 33 and the leading end of the tape T is pressed and adhered to a pipe end. Subsequently, the flier 20 is rotated at a low speed to wind the adhesive tape T around the pipe end and, at the point of time when the tape T is wound to a certain degree, the flier is rotated at a usual speed and the adhesive tape T is wound until lapped to the winding start end thereof. Then, the tape T is cut by the cutter of a cutting and pressing device 40 and the terminal of the tape T is pressed and adhered to the pipe end by a pressing part 45. At the same time, the cutting start end part of the tape is held to the holding part 31 of the holding and pressing device in an adsorbed state.
